Girls Have IT Day! is an event to engage, excite and encourage middle school girls in hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) activities hosted by Xavier students. The event is free and open to all middle school girls.
“We believe that exciting young women about studying STEAM skills will encourage them to be more engaged in their coursework and increasingly open to STEAM-related post-secondary and professional opportunities,” said Catherine Wyman, Xavier’s Program Director for Technology. “But this engagement will benefit them no matter what their chosen field of study.”
